New staff are trained for a day and expected to survive on their own. ![]() The meetings are a way for supervisors to blame staff for not working up to par. So many meetings with no accomplishments in sight. Computers, printers, fax machines, phones don’t work and it’s blamed on staff for being too dumb to use the equipment. Management uses spies that often just gossip about you with no facts, but still you’re guilty of the accusations. Staff just gossip about one another and about patients. They laugh and laugh in their private “meetings” and yet blame you for having questions. Management does not care about anyone unless you’re buddies with them. I recommend that there be a culture amongst staff that PAs - more. Also, as Montage is now incorporating more outpatient RNs, hopefully APP roles will be more at a provider level.Īdvice: increase APP leadership. Thus, hopefully in the future upcoming years, they will develop better workflow processes that can allow an APP to grow. If you are a highly experienced APP who is already able to function autonomously in the chosen specialty and already have a very clear sense of your role in the chosen specialty, then this would be a good fit for you.
